Magic-Pacers NBA Game Preview

January 25th, 2012 by nick

Leading off from a valiant – but losing – first round playoff series in 2011 against the Chicago Bulls, the Indiana Pacers came roaring back to start the 2011-2012 season. The organization is experiencing its best starting record in the previous eight seasons, but they still struggle against the more proficient teams in the league.

And the Magic are a tough opponent that are 11-5 on the year at this point. Also, recent history is clearly favoring Orlando. The Magic have defeated the Pacers in Indiana in each of the previous three meetings between the two.

College football odds

Both organizations come into this meeting with a 7-3 record over their previous ten contests. The Pacers have a 5-0 home record so far, while the Magic are 5-3 away from home. Expect Orlando to make a surprisingly strong showing after their pitiful 87-56 loss to the Boston Celtics a few days ago.

Steelers Look to Crush Browns in Week 17

January 1st, 2012 by nick

This game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns will feature two teams who have very different goals for the last two games of the season. The Steelers are still in the playoff race and are just waiting for the playoffs. The Browns, howerver, have had a tough season and are just attempting to salvage their season by adding a couple more wins.

Online betting

The Steelers havea record of 11-4 and have just come off a big win over the St. Louis Rams. The Steelers dismantled the Rams 27-0 and displayed great defense while the Browns have lost 5 straight games. The Browns’ previous game against the Ravens displayed just how hard it is for the Browns to put points on the board and they are certainly going to have a tough time with the Steelers defense.

College football odds

The Steelers are depending on their star QB to drive the offense for big passes that will result in multiple touchdowns while the Browns are hoping that Hardesty will control the ground game. The Browns, however, will have to work together as a unit to be able to win over the Steelers as the strength is unquestionably on Pittsburgh’s side.

Packers at Chiefs in Week 15 NFL Action

December 17th, 2011 by nick

Week 15 of the pro football year watches as the Green Bay Packers come to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs in an NFC versus AFC clash. However, “clash” might be a bit too much when describing this game. This one is more of a beauty and the beast matchup.

Online sportsbook

Many an NFL pundit has pointed out this is a trap game for the Green Bay Packers. If ever the Packers were going to have a disappointment, it would be the week. There is really nothing about the Chiefs that mightcould} possibly frighten them. Having said that, Kansas City is a famously hard city to play and the spectators are loud and very enthusiastic. I would suggest it will also be freezing, but Kansas City will probably seem balmy to the Packers as they are arriving from Wisconsin.

College football odds

Everything seems to point to a trap game and a Chiefs win. Okay, I’m obviously exaggerating. I can not see how the Packers lose this one, but can they cover the point spread? The Pack come into the game as 13.5 point favorites. The Packers have a reliable offense. The Chiefs have not scored more than 10 points in their previous five games. To me, the answer seems obvious.

The NFL is Back – Division Preseason Highlights

September 12th, 2011 by nick

Tonight the NFL football betting season begins. Let’s take this opportunity to take a brief look at both the AFC and NFC Divisions to see what opportunities may lay ahead in the 2011-2012 season. Let’s start with the AFC East exactly where the New England Patriots have had a stranglehold for practically a decade. Last year the New York Jets exploded onto the scene and defeated the Patriots in the playoffs. You have to like the Patriots to find a way to win this division again.

Wager on NHL

The AFC South has been dominated by the the Indianapolis Colts, but this may be the year in which the Houston Texans ultimately make their move and take home a division championship. In the AFC West the Kansas City Chiefs won the division last year, but most believe that if the San Diego Chargers stay healthy they will win it this year. In the AFC North the Pittsburgh Steelers won the division last year and went on to the Super Bowl losing to the Packers 31-25. If they stay healthy they should win the division again, Although the Baltimore Ravens will give them a run for their money.

Football wagering

In the NFC East the Philadelphia Eagles won the division last year and should do so again. The Giants or Cowboys could make a run, but it is not likely. The NFC West the Seattle Seahawks won the division with a dismal 7-9 record. Don’t count on that again. Look for the Los Angeles Rams to win it with a 9-7 record instead. In the NFC North the Chicago Bears won the division last year, but it was the Wild Card Green Bay Packers that made it all the way to the Super Bowl to win it all. Although the Detroit Lions are making their move, look for the Packers to win this division again. In the NFC South the Atlanta Falcons won the division last year with the Saints taking the Wild Card. Look for more of the same this year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers making a doable challenge. There will be plenty of good football betting this NFL season.
